WELCOME TO LOVE CAPE TOWN CITYFEST
The Love Cape Town CityFest is a three-way partnership between African Enterprise (AE), Luis Palau Association(LPA) and more than 700 Churches & Ministries in Cape Town. The vision of the Love Cape Town CityFest is to come alongside the churches and ministries to proclaim the gospel message of Jesus Christ to people of all ages across the city from 2-16 November and make new disciples for Christ through different kinds of outreach events.
DIFFERENT KINDS OF OUTREACHES
FESTIVAL(S) – ADJUSTED PLANS
From the beginning, the plan was to have three festivals in different parts of the city in order to get closer to where the people are, in their own communities. The plan was to have festivals in Mitchell’s Plain, Khayelitsha and the CBD on 2, 9 & 16 November.
Due to a combination of fundraising targets that have not been reached and permit challenges at the CBD & Khayelitsha, the decision was made to reduce the number of festivals from three to one.
LET’S UNITE – ONE CITY – ONE FESTIVAL
The festival will now be at the Westridge Gardens in Mitchell’s Plain on 16 November. We call on the city of Cape Town to unite as one and support this great festival! The hosting team is preparing for more than 20 000 people to attend from all over the city. Please see the transport and parking arrangements for more details.
The festival will be something for the whole family with various activities throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your own camping chairs, blanket and picnic basket, or buy food at the venue.
Registration starts at 09:00. The Program runs from 10:00 up to lunchtime.
KidsGames is a sports and games program that started in 1999 and are now in every country in the world. It is for children aged 6-14 years. There will be a reduced version of the program at the festival, that will include experiential learning games, uplifting spiritual lessons and lots of fun. It will culminate in a mainstage program that will include worship, a message and an opportunity to follow Jesus. For more details about KidsGamesplease visit www.kidgames.com
